    Paul began his career in the financial services industry in 1979 after graduating from UW-Stevens Point with a degree in economics. His passion for education has continued throughout his career, most recently receiving the CLU® (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation, which further facilitates his dedication to life insurance and estate planning specialization. Within the firm, Paul specializes in risk management with an emphasis on business planning.

    Family is most important to Paul having been married to his wife, Cathie, for 40 years. Together, they have two daughters, two grandchildren. A variety of sports and outdoor activities occupy their free time.

    David’s passion starts and ends within his clients journey towards their financial goals. As the focus of David’s specialty, he enjoys working with clients throughout important stages in their lives. From college planning, to building a family, to retirement and everything in between, David services clients to work towards their goals, regardless of their stage of life.

    David received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He also studied at The American College, where David earned his RICP® designation and completed his CFP® coursework. In 2016, David became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. David and his wife, Sarah, have resided in Eau Claire since 2004 and recently had their first child, Brynn. David is a competitive golfer who enjoys the outdoors and a wide variety of sports.

    Charles joined Woita & Associates in 2018, with more than 14 years of professional experience in financial advising in the Chippewa Valley and shares the firm’s dedication to helping all clients work toward their financial goals. He has earned his AWMA® accreditation through the college of Financial Planning. He enjoys the long term relationships he creates with clients, through the entire financial planning process.

    Charles is a native of Bloomer, Wisconsin, where he resides with his wife and three children. He spends time volunteering with community organizations, and enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping with family and friends.

    Sara Selseth

    Operations Manager

    Sara Selseth has been with Woita & Associates for over 5 years and is instrumental in the administrative servicing of our group retirement plans. Outside of customer service and retirement plan service, Sara also curates and manages the marketing efforts within the office. Sara graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 2013 and since then has completed additional coursework in the financial planning field in relation to industry compliance and group retirement plan servicing. In her free time, Sara enjoys yoga, swimming, traveling, coaching and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.

    Client Services Associate

    Zachary Decker is a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ with Woita & Associates. An FPQP™ has the education necessary to work on the basic elements of your financial picture, while the financial planner concentrates on your long-term goals. Zach is a recent graduate of Lakeland College where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Zach is originally from Rice Lake, Wisconsin. In his free time he enjoys fishing, spending time with family, and cheering on the Packers and Badgers.

    Christopher Becker

    Client Services Associates

    Christopher joined Woita & Associates with a wide variety of experiences including earning his Bachelor’s Degree from UW-River Falls and completing almost 10 years with the Wisconsin Army National Guard. He has earned his Series 7 & 65 securities licenses (held through LPL Financial) along with Life and Health Insurances licenses for the state of Wisconsin. Christopher’s attention to detail and process has shown to be of great benefit for the firm and his top notch work ethic continues to bleed into Woita & Associates and the team of professionals with who he works.

    Christopher enjoys competing in CrossFit, hiking, camping and spending time with his wife Courtney and their two dogs.

    LPL Registered Sales Assistant

    Jackie Schoettl is an LPL Registered Sales Assistant with Woita & Associates. She is a graduate of Chippewa Valley Technical College. Jackie holds her Series 7 and Series 63 security licenses through LPL Financial and is also insurance licensed for both Life and Accident & Health. She has been in the financial industry for over 10 years. Jackie lives in Eau Claire, Wisconsin with her husband (Ty), son (Sawyer), and dog (Hemi). Most weekends you will find the family enjoying a variety of outdoor activities: hunting and fishing, biking to the local farmer’s market, and swimming at the lake.

    Nate Buyze is the cheerful face most of our clients have come to look forward to seeing upon entering our doors. Nate is currently pursuing his Associate’s Degree from Chippewa Valley Technical College, while providing our Woita & Associates clients with excellent customer service. In his free time Nate enjoys golfing, spending time outdoors and continuing to further his education.

    Cathie Woita

    Human Resources

    Cathie Woita spent her pre-retirement years as a Physical Education teacher in the Elk Mound School District but has kept herself quite busy in the past couple years. At the firm, Cathie manages our books along with handling our human resource needs. Although Cathie deems herself retired, she keeps busy teaching local fitness classes, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, biking, skiing, and enjoying time outside.
